I'm passionate about cooking and fine dining - I grew up in Germany and my childhood was filled with trips across France, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands etc... My memories are punctuated by my first artichoke, my first sea urchin, truffle, cobb nut and sea cucumber - memory is a map of the senses! I can navigate myself around cities based on their restaurants and markets, and love laying down new memories - though I'm yet to find my definitive Proustian 'Madeleine'...
I write about food, theatre and the arts, and with an MA in Renaissance Studies, I curate a number of Renaissance websites.
